Hats off to Lion’s Donna Bushover and Betty Hassell for a great job on the 65^th Anniversary Dinner. Everything went very smoothly and was a huge success. Congratulations to Lion Peter Huth-Robert J. Uplinger Award and Lion Don Crandall recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. They are both well deserving Lions.

State Street Park Decorations are on the agenda already. We will be setting up Trees and Decorating on Saturday December 18^th at 8:30am. John Bale will be getting the Trees on the site Friday and may also be looking for help.

We will be ‘ringing the Bell’ at Ames again this Christmas Holiday. Your secret number is 21. The proceeds are for the Salvation Army and this year we are ‘ringing’ December 22^nd and 23^rd.

Enclosed you will find an order form for the Poinsettia sale. Delivery Dates are December 8^th, 15^th, and 22^nd.This is our one big money making drive for the year. The drive will only be as successful as you make it. If you don’t participate, our year will be less of a success. All we are asking is for every Lion to try real hard to sell at least 10 Poinsettias. Please get your Sale Hat on and sell, sell, sell… More order forms available from Don Colquhoun or you may use Xerox copies’.

Next Meeting Highlights: November 21^st will be a Joke Night. Bring 3 or 4 politically correct jokes with you for everyone to enjoy. Our guest on December 5^th will be District Governor Pat Butler. It would be very rewarding if we could get a nice turnout.
