NOTICES:

--------------------Our Heartfelt Condolences are extended to the Family of Lion Jim Crowley. A Lions Flower was sent on behalf of the Club. Jim will be dearly missed.

--------------------Lions Membership Committee has set a Goal of 10 new members for this Year. Your friends frequently have the same ideals and interests as you. Consider inviting them to our next meeting.  Lions Dave Viterna and Mike O’Keefe will be glad to offer the assistance of the Lions Membership Committee, just ask.

--------------------Medina Lions will have a booth at the Medina Historical Society OLD HOME DAY:  Lions John McElwain and Pete Huth need volunteers to work the booth. Food is being served from 10am till 4pm. Set up is 9:30am and takedown at 4pm. We need chairs and tables. Contact John or Pete if you need more information
--------------------Tee Shirts are printed and will be available at any activity. They are $10 (SMALL), $11(XL), $12(XXL) and $13(XXXL). Remember to wear our Medina Lions Logo when ‘We Serve’.
News EVENTS:

--------------------Your President was invited to meet with Lyndonville Lions for 2001-2002 at Lion Ed Blair’s House.  There will be two joint Meetings of the clubs; the District Governor on November 28th and a Christmas Party with the Medina Choir at the Apple Grove with your spouses.  A full listing of the Medina Lions activities and leadership can be found on the web page- www.medina-ny.com/Lions/ New activities only occur when New Ideas are tried.  If you have a suggestion, please email the club with your thoughts.

--------------------District Governor Jon Legro Visit November 28th at the Erie Inn WEDNESDAY November 28th. This will be a joint meeting with Lyndonville Lions. We are assured of an inspiring message about Lionism.

EVENTS Reports:

--------------------Your club has been serving Pizza and Lemonade on Cruise Nights, Friday Evenings in Canal Basin Park.  Money raised will be applied to the Convention Fund and this is good Public Relations Exposure for the Medina Lions at the Red Cross Sponsored Event.

--------------------Family Picnic at Lions Park was held Tuesday August 14, 2001.  53 Lions and Family enjoyed hot dogs and Soda. There was a ton of ‘dish to pass’ choices and the Rain held out until 8pm. Thanks to everyone who helped make the event an enormous success.

--------------------Medina Lions Honored Village Workers on August 16, 2001.  31 members of the Medina Police, Firefighters, and Dept of Public Works enjoyed assorted Sandwiches, salad and Soda supplied by Rick Drilling at Creek Side Bakery and Country Café. The Medina Journal Register included a Front Page Article the Next Day and reinforced the Medina Lions ‘Thanks to the Workers’ theme.

 --------------------Baseball at Dwyer Stadium on Thursday August 23, 2001 was a success. Lions and Spouses from the Medina Club enjoyed an Exciting game of Baseball.  We donated 15 tickets to the ARC and 20 Tickets to Orleans Mental Health.
