NOTICES:

--------------------Our Heartfelt Condolences are extended to the Family of Lion Arthur Winters. A Lions Flower was sent on behalf of the Club. Art was a lifetime Lion and will be dearly missed.

--------------------October Diabetes Walk information is available from Lion Bob Farman The annual walk is Saturday October 13th and Lion Bob welcome your ‘cash’ sponsorship.

--------------------A Community Spaghetti Supper is planned for October 21st from 11am till 6pm at the Shelby Fire Hall. Proceeds will be used to help with Lion Dave Bushover’s new leg.  Lion Steve Morse met with the steering committee and the Lions will be in charge of Advertising and selling Tickets.  Also working on the project are the Medina Masons, Presbyterian Men’s Association and the Shelby Fire Company. Each Lion will need to return your money or unsold tickets at the October 16th Meeting.

--------------------Lion John McElwain is working on a meeting place for Medina Lions. Lions Dinner Place of Meetings will be announced as John makes arrangements behalf of the Club. John welcomes any ideas or suggestions you may have. A full listing of the Medina Lions activities and leadership can be found on the web page- www.medina-ny.com/Lions/ New activities only occur when New Ideas are tried.  If you have a suggestion, please email the club with your thoughts.

 --------------------Lions Membership Committee has set a Goal of 10 new members for this Year. Your friends frequently have the same ideals and interests as you. Consider inviting them to our next meeting.  Lions Dave Viterna and Mike O’Keefe will be glad to offer the assistance of the Lions Membership Committee, just ask.
--------------------Tee Shirts are printed and will be available at any activity. They are $10 (SML), $11(XL), $12(XXL) and $13(XXXL). Remember to wear our Medina Lions Logo when ‘We Serve’.
News EVENTS:

--------------------Zone Chairman Glenn Spellan Will be at the October 2nd meeting with a message from ESS&HC.

--------------------District Governor Jon Legro Visit November 28th on WEDNESDAY, place to be announced. This will be a joint meeting with Lyndonville Lions. We are assured of an inspiring message about Lionism.

EVENTS Reports:

--------------------Old Home Day at the Medina Historical Society on Sunday September 30th, 2001 was a success. Lions and Spouses from the Medina Club enjoyed being part of the Activities, cooking Red and White Hots, serving Chili and Sodas.  The Convention Fund got a nice boost.
